About this business

Editorial fromWith a name like OM, this Harvard Square hot-spot has set itself up for a critical backlash against pretentious misappropriation of Buddhist symbology. We're not sure we disagree. After all, a round of aromatherapy martinis in a Tibetan…

great dinner – went to OM saturday night and had a great meal. My wife had the hamachi sashimi and the lamb & I had the foie gras and scallops. The food, decor & waitstaff were excellent. I am from brookline and rarely go to cambridge for dinner but I plan on visiting this place again. One observation I made is that the ingredients were of the highest quality and you pay for that, but it is worth it.

Great decor, poor service / food – Went to OM on a Saturday night with friends hand I do not think that any of us will be going. The decor & layout is amazing, unfortunately the service and food are not up to the same level. Waitstaff was really slow and they did not have 50% of the items we ordered off the menu. (We only got told about items out of stock 10-15min after ordering). Eventually found a few things that they did have, one of which was a cheese platter & the waitress was not even able to name all the items on the ... read more

A Wanna Be – From my many visits to NYC and South Beach, OM is a wanna be - copying the Asian influence in food and decor, and striving for the cool cocktails and hip, casual bar scene. The bar is fine, but in utter contrast to the decor and ambiance in the upstairs dining room. If the host and wait staff upstairs were not so pretentious and cool, I believe I would have enjoyed the evening more. The food is unusual with exotic ingredients and accompaniments, which deserves my rating of "recommended." However, the portions we... read more

Perfection! – I was expecting an overpriced, overhyped, scene at OM. But when I went with my family this week I was overwealmed with the quality, presentation, and service this restaurant provides. Each of our plates was a work of art. The tuna tartare was perfectly cooked and so much fun to eat with the mini drink they give you to rinse your pallette. The Tea Time desert included a mini bubble tea, and two tea flavored pastries. It was expensive, but that is what you pay for absolute perfection. The artwork in there is like... read more

Amazing drinks... awkward setup and social scene – My friend and I went to OM for "fancy drinks" on a Friday night. The interior was interesting, but kinda awkwardly set up. There were a lotta Harvard folk there (you decide whether that's a good thing or not). The drinks were pretty pricey, but by far the most beautiful drinks I have ever experienced in my life. I would probably go back on a weeknight when it is less crowded just for the drinks. TRY THE ESSENTIAL MARTINI.

Exquite Dinning – I travel for work quite a bit so I rely on MSN city search to find places to dine and OM has rank the top on my list as one of my favorite restaurant in MA. From foie gras to Korean beef serve w/ yellow watermelon and not to mention the dumpling. It was very tasting & well put together!! The price might be on the high end but if you enjoy food as much as I am, it's worth every penny. So while in Boston, it's definitely worth a trip to Cambridge to try this restaurant.

trip over the river – I never leave boston to dine. I am glad I made the trip to OM. The restaurant was beautiful & the view was amazing overlooking the park. We had the foie gras with pecan pie. OH MY GOD! the best foie gras dish I have ever had & we had the beef & watermelon salad which was so fresh. For entrees we had the Lamb with artichokes & we had the duck which was delicious, crispy & so adorable with a miniature skillet filled with a duck pie. For dessert we shared the carrot cake with parsnip ice cream. It was so d... read more

OM is out of this world – I have been to OM 3 times. And, I have loved every single visit. The first time, I went there after work with my friends, and we sat at the lounge. It was very cool. The crowd, the martinis (try Zen Te'), the ambience...just perfect. The second time, I had dinner with my girlfriend. This food is for foodies. If you think you know good food, then go to OM. They don't overstuff you like a pig. But, by the time you have finished your dessert, you feel like you just had a perfect meal. Awesome taste, pe... read more
