Denying a patient their valid medication, fabricating legal rules to block care, and treating minority patients with hostile bias is a direct violation of professional standards. When I asked to bypass the insurance to pay cash, they weaponized false legal information to deny me my medication, stating it was illegal to do so. This is a severe professional failure and completely inaccurate, as Hy-Vee Pharmacy was able to easily process the exact same prescription as a cash transaction with a coupon an hour later.
