I would prefer a score of 0. Poor enough experience to be willing to spend my time writing a review. Uncomfortable, out of date space and out of date paperwork. No one was there when I arrived for my appointment and lights were off. Not trauma-informed, person-centered or well-versed in gender and sexuality diversity, all of which are crucial to me as a patient, provider and instructor for OBGYN clinical students. Super efficient doctor, explains everything clearly. You know that once you are being seen by her, you'll be out again and whatever procedure you're in for, will be over. And, the office is in Alameda so if you live here it's nice and convenient. But, the people behind the front desk barely look up from their phones to answer questions, and certainly don't volunteer information. The signup procedures are unorthodox and not secure. Dr. Butt is a great doctor. She is very efficient and to the point but has answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I have not had long wait times for my appointments either! It can be difficult to reach the office, as other reviews mentioned, the mailbox is often full and they do not always pick up. But I have had no issue scheduling appointments or getting in touch with staff. They call me back when I leave messages. Staff is very friendly and approachable. Great specialist but absolutely horrible scheduling system. The phone does not work (mailbox is full), the website does not work. So, it's quite frustrating
There are issues when calling her office. No one answers the phone, it goes to voicemail and asks you to leave a message. I left a message and never got a call back. I complained to aetna and the aetna rep called them while I was on the phone, and it went to voicemail. I went directly to the office to get an appointment. The doctor seems nice and she wanted me to go to get but didn't give me the form she filled out.
