Just recently had a total hip replacement. From the planning stages ,to the three week post visit , my care was excellent. I have always traveled to Boston for medical care but would highly recommend Dr Oliver for any type of orthopedic care.
Dr. Oliver replaced my right hip on a Wednesday morning. I was home by 4:00 PM that day; the Sunday after surgery I felt good enough to stop taking all pain meds; by the following Wednesday I was walking completely on my own. From my first visit to his office all the administrators, assistants, and other physicians I saw were all professional and pleasant to deal with. Dr. Oliver replaced my right hip eight years ago and my left hip a few weeks ago. I operated on at 8:25 am and was home by 3:00 pm the same day. I was walking and climbed stairs within hours after the surgery. I was back to normal within two weeks. Dr. Oliver and his staff are unbelievable and they handled everything in a professional manner. Dr. Oliver replaced my left knee years ago and hip recently. Both procedures were successful and handled in a professional manner. To say that “I have my life back” is an understatement! My knee replacement surgery was a great success from the first meeting with Dr. Oliver, to the pre-op procedures, the surgery, post-op procedures, and follow-up visits. The team at Beth Israel Deaconess in Plymouth was outstanding - everyone was so organized, competent and simpatico. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Oliver and his team, and especially his expertise, skill and approach to knee replacements. I was in and out of the hospital the same day, which has made a tremendous difference in my recovery time.
The whole process was handled in a professional manner. I made very comfortable about the procedure from the beginning. I found that the healing went as it was explained in the class before the surgery. There were no surprises. The process is like a well oiled machine.
There are experts and then there are ones who wrote the book. Dr. Oliver is in a class by himself. Personally I couldn't be happier with my experience from the pre to the post in my knee replacement sojourn. He also performed my Son's ACL reconstruct flawlessly a decade plus ago. He's the best when it comes to the knee!
Happy to say that my total hip replacement by Dr. Oliver in March 2020 went very well. He and his staff were so helpful throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Plymouth Bay Orthopedics.
