I'll begin on that horrible day when I found my 14 year old daughter, unresponsive from a Tonic Clonic seizure, while taking a nap. I called 911 as my husband immediately started CPR on my daughter. After only 2 minutes, the Oldham County Fire department arrived and took over CPR and other resuscitation measures. EMS told my husband NOT to take me to ER. Told him and me that I had no broken bones even though one was protruding and I couldn’t move/straighten my arm. Made me feel stupid for wanting to go to ER. Diagnosis was: Dislocated elbow, displaced fractured olecranon( was in pieces), fractured radial head. Torn radial crucial ligament and TFCC in the wrist. I work at a clinic that only sees special needs patients. The patients we see can be very challenging and difficult to manage, they can be intimidating and have some aggressive behaviors. One in particular had to be transported by Oldham County EMS today. The patient has had some behavioral issues but needed to be seen by our clinic.
