Breads, pastries, cookies are fabulous. The chicken pot pie is to die for. I love this bakery.
I had a chance to stop in the bakery today with my mom. The wonder woman working the front counter could not have been friendlier and so willing to help us. We got a loaf of bread, she offered to slice it for us, and we also picked up cookies. But everything looked AMAZING from the pastries to the breads to the jams and honey. Hours later when we eat the bread and pastries, they tasted fabulous. I can not wait to go back again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
I first discovered Old World Breads at the Lewes Farmers’ Market. Their artisan loaves are amazing, and their quiches and pies are even better! I now stop by the store when it’s an ‘off’ day from my normal farmers’ market shopping, but always buy WAY more than I go there for, since everything looks so wonderful! I also love it that they have a selection of locally sourced staples, like eggs and milk and cheese. I am proud to support my local community and Old World Breads makes it easy (and tasty) to do so!
Love, Love, Love this place. I think I gain a few pounds as soon as I walk in the door and smell that wonderful baking smell. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. My favorite is the cranberry walnut bread but I always leave with a bag full of heaven. I am there tomorrow for sure.
The baguette and sourdough were alright, but not nearly as good or consistent as when the previous owner baked the breads.
I love those Chocolate Croissants excellent place to visit every time I'm in town..
