Would not rent from here Old Town Realty was very unhelpful to me. My security deposit was not returned until the very last day of the return period although for that entire time they assured me a check was in the mail. Also, in trying to apply for a new apartment, they did not ever return the reference sheet to the screening company.
great to rent from I've rented my place thru Old Town for the past 5 years and have had nothing but wonderful things to say about them, They have many properties for rent - but they take a personal interest in making sure their clients are well taken care of.
Would Rent Again I rented from Old Town for a year before moving out of state. I always enjoyed visiting their office and the staff was always very helpful and polite. The apartment I rented was clean and well taken care of, a definite plus from other college apartments I'd lived in. There were a few maintenance issues, like a broken lock and homeless people in the stairwell, but the owner of this building was expressly responsible for maintenance and not Old Town. Staff is not good, and service is bad Like the other person said. they do have an attitude problem. I end up not renting from them even though I viewed some of their apartments. They seems knowgeable in showing their apartments etc but then they also give you a "take it or leave it" kind of attitude. It's probably there are a high demand in student housing in Ann Arbor and they do not have problems in renting out their places. Service with something other than a smile While I haven't actually looked at any of the properties through Old Town Realty, what I can tell you is that I did receive some attitude when I called looking for housing on campus in Ann Arbor. When the agent asked what I was looking for, I stated my specifications (knowing perfectly well the housing market in Ann Arbor after living their for 5 years) I was told either I'd find efficiencies (which is what I was looking for anyway) or a four leaf clover in my pocket.
