...a Chicago legend and a neighborhood treasure !!
Had a great first date here and also first time visit to pub, I live walking distance away so it's the perfect pub. I loved all the cool art work and vibe with a no too young crowd. Definitely coming back! Brooklyn's lager and Jack Daniels/ginger...Delicious
Met up with a friend there, we had a drink and we had a fun and relaxing time
Stay away. The drunk'in owner tried to pick a fight with me.....and I was with my family following a college graduation. If that's part of the " local vibe" then you can keep this dump.
Business response:
Dave I am so sorry that you had a bad experience at the old town ale house- I do not know the drunk that ruined your experience but he was not the owner- my name is Tobin and I am the only female owner of the bar- if you have a bad experience tell the bartenders - they will call me and the nuisance will be removed:)
What a great spot. I highly recommend it for anyone going to Second City
One bartender was nice and courteous and the other seemed like a character out of a Stephen King novel. And by that I mean, good at his job (waiting on people) but being totally creepy.
Old Town Ale House has a 4.6 star rating with 1,180 reviews.
