Try this place - it's great! – We have spent a lot of time at this kennel since we have 5 dogs. Our dogs have been boarded and groomed here and literally run to the front door when we let them out of the car to greet the manager here. They love their mini-vacations with all of the caring people at the kennel. We've also spent a lot of time talking with the manager and the owner about how the dogs are cared for and have seen the care and maintenance of the dogs and this facility first-hand. Rude Owner – I live in the neighborhood that owner of this kennel lives and I can tell you would never trust him with my dogs. He has a dog of his own that he never gives any attention too. The poor dog barks at anyone and anything at all hours of the day or night for hours on end. The owner never even looks to see if the dog has a reason to bark. We can't take our dogs out to play near his house because his dog wants to play and barks uncontrollably. The poor dog just wants attention and to play. He never walks the dog. I d... read more

Great Boarding Experience! – This kennel was great. We liked the set up of the kennel and we liked the playtime for our dogs. We liked the option of the dogs going inside or staying outside at their choice because of the indoor and outdoor portions of their kennel. Our dogs have a doggy door, so this was important to us so their routine was not broken. We would definitely recommend this kennel to our friends and family.

Our Best Friend Got Great Care – Our family recently moved to the Las Cruces area and we were in need of a place to care for our best friend. Let's face it, our dog is our child and we are very particular about whom we allow to care for her. We found the Old Mesilla Kennel while driving around the area. We stopped in and received a tour of the property and the staff member was able to answer all our questions and gave us a great deal of comfort and confidence that our girl would be well cared for. Very nice kennel. Indoor and outdoor dog kennels are excellent! – Our dog had lots of space which we worried about since a lot of kennels have cages. Playtime is one-on-one which we really liked for our dog. Our dog was groomed as well and they did an excellent job even though he is a mixed breed. The groomer helped us decide how best to work with our dog and showed us how to care for him at home. Our dog loves the brushing they recommended. wonderful service! Our new dog, Chloe, a purebred English Setter was recently a guest at Old Mesilla Kennel. We decided with the time and service we had been given with our other 2 dogs, we would also have her groomed at the end of her stay. We are absolutely delighted with the way she looks and she was extremely happy on her return home!! We now have 3 dogs that we would bring here at the drop of a hat. This is a great place.

Great Service! – As a former groomer with over 25 years of experience and current customer of Old Mesilla Kennel, I am delighted to take my dogs to this facility with the change of ownership. They are delighted too. Grooming is about making the dog feel and look better. I have my dogs groomed whenever I board them, and the new owner and manager do a wonderful job with both of these services. My dogs love to go there and always look great when they come home. Upset1 is probably a very good description all the time for Upset1.

Great Facility! – We love this place as do our dogs. This is the cleanest and most pleasant kennel we have ever used for our dogs. We don't understand 2doglovers comments about the owner - we also live in this neighborhood and have visited the owner and his dog many times - he loves his dog, walks his dog and plays with him all of the time, as well as taking hom to the kennel to play with other friendly dogs during playtime. THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST PET GROOMING SALON IN TOWN! – Since the new owner took over, this place has gone down hill fast! I took my dog in for grooming last week and immediately knew my husband would not like it. He took one look at him and said I should call back and tell them they needed to do it over. So, the owner said to bring him back this week and he'd fix the cut. WRONG! This man has NO idea how to groom a dog! An 8 year old could do better.
