BE DISCERNING - SEE FOR YOURSELF HOW WONDERFUL THIS KENNEL IS FOR YOUR PET! – It sounds like someone has a personal vendetta against someone at this terrific facility. Too bad they have nothing better to do. I am sane and whole-heartedly recommend this kennel. PLEASE READ THIS - This is a GREAT PLACE for your pets! – We recently brought our two standard poodles to Old Mesilla Kennel for one week of boarding and had them groomed also. We also took advantage of the supervised playtime yard on the property. THEY LOOKED GREAT and we and they WERE EXTREMELY HAPPY when we picked them up. The owner and manager gave us a tour of the indoor/outdoor area for each dog before we tried here and they were absolutely spotless! WONDERFUL HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR OUR DOGS!! – We travel with our 2 akitas and visit our family in Southern New Mexico 3 times each year. Last summer we found OLD MESILLA KENNEL in Las Cruces and most recently used their facilities over the holidays. This place is the best boarding and grooming facility we have seen in the southwest. We and our dogs are treated like royalty by the manager, Marilyn, and our dogs are as happy as we have ever seen them after boarding. Don't Go!!!! Terrible, Awful, Traumatizing!!! – No sane person would rate this place 5 stars. It is terrible. It is obvious to me that the owners are giving themselves positive reviews.I would give this place zero stars if I could. I am a dissatisfied customer. They don't care about you as a customer, they don't care about how your dog looks because my dog looked awful. They don't care about treating your dog well either because my dog was traumatized. incompetent Groomer We have taken our dogs here for many years to be groomed. A new owner took over and when we took our dogs in they did a horrible job. My husband called on the phone and the owner tried to blame it on our dogs saying they had behavioral problems. We spent $100 for nothing. We then took them to another groomer in town who did an excellent job. It is old mesilla kennels loss. We were excellent long time customers, but we don't mind giving our business to someone who deserves it.
incompetent Groomer – We have taken our dogs here for grooming for many years. After a new owner took over we had them groomed and they did a horrible job. Terrific Facility and Service! – We love bringing our dogs to this facility. The owner and manager do a great job caring for the dogs and our dogs love to come here. We also know the owner and have met his dog at the kennel and home numerous times and live in his neighborhood. The owner loves his dog, walks him, plays with him all of the time in his backyard, does not let him roam unleashed and brings him to the kennel to play with the other dogs.
