I don't get the raves - the menu is stuck in 1983 The staff at this restaurant was lovely, and the service good, but the style of food is very old-fashioned - and not in a good way. The menu is heavy on what used to be called "Continental Fare" - clams casino, veal dishes, escargot and prime rib. The locavore trend has not yet made it to this part of the world - the height of harvest season but nothing on the menu to reflect the many local farms. Old Library Restaurant Inc is fabulous! Lunch or Dinner at the Old Library Restaurant is extraordinary! From the hostess to the server, bus person, bartender, cook, and owner. They serve up the best food in town!
Fabulous The Old library is by far the best dining experience one can hanve while in the southern tier of NY state. fabulous menue and service and suprisiingly nto as expensive as you may think. Friday evening happy hour includes free appetizers in the bar area. very good!!!
