This is where Las Vegas began, undoubtedly a must-visit spot if you want to learn about the city's history and get a feel for its early days. Very friendly staff, interesting exhibits, and a film. Highly recommended!
A great place to learn about the early history of Las Vegas at this former Mormon Fort location. The video they show is very informative and walking around takes you back in time to what it may have been like back in the days when it was a early settlement in the valley.
My daughters, niece, and I chose to visit the old Mormon fort to learn about a piece of Las Vegas history. We enjoyed the informative exhibits, learning about their clothing, daily lives, and diets. Afterward, we also visited Kiel Ranch. The customer service was excellent; after we paid, we were kindly informed that our receipt allowed us to visit other state parks that day. The price was very reasonable at $3 per person. I highly recommend a visit. P.S They have small movie area to watch the history of Vegas.
