I was born and raised in Nashville and always wanted to try this place. It opened the year I was born! I gotta say, it was super disappointing. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, but the food wasn’t great and definitely not worthy the money. I’m a bit of a restaurant connoisseur and I am fine with paying top dollar for top notch food. But here we paid top dollar for mediocre food. The steak was overcooked and the flavors were so dull. Kinda makes me sad that it wasn’t what I wanted it to be.
We had an excellent dinner at Old Hickory Steakhouse in the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. The ambiance is elegant and upscale and the food was outstanding too, juicy, perfectly cooked steaks and great sides. All 5 out of stars! But what really made the night special was the service. Service was outstanding, our steaks were cooked to perfection. We had wine with our meal, water glasses were never empty and even had an amazing complimentary dessert because it was my birthday. Thank you for making our evening extra special. We can’t wait to come back in for dinner when we visit Nashville again.
Beautiful place! Very nice knowledge service. We each had a steak. My wife had the beed filet. I little overcooked. Nice flavor but not tinder as expected for that cut. I had the Kansas city steak. Supposed to be prime but was lacking. Asked for a med rare but more like a medium/medium well. So the food was lacking especially for the price but the atmosphere was incredible!
Highly recommend food was great as well as service!
