Here’s a polished review you could use: I recently dined at Old Hickory Steakhouse and had a great experience. We were in town during a conference, so it was a nice surprise that we were able to get a table without a wait. The food was excellent. I ordered the special of the night and really enjoyed it. Everything was well prepared and flavorful. Overall, it was a great dining experience and a place I would happily visit again. 🥩
Not so Happy Valentine’s Day. The atmosphere was great and the food was good but our waitress was incredibly rude. My girlfriend is not one to complain and she reluctantly sent her steak back when it came out a little more done than she had wanted. The waitress argued with us and literally said “well I can’t bring it back to life” when we asked if she could get one slightly less done. I’ve lived in the area for over 20 years and never had tried this place. First off, it bothered me that to eat at the restaurant (which is inside the Gaylord Texan Resort) you had to pay for parking $30… but finally my wife and I decided to go try it for our anniversary dinner. Our group of 6 had an incredible meal at old Hickory tonight. Great everything- ambiance, service, steaks, sides, cocktails, deserts, literally everything was excellent. And it’s a beautiful room. Can’t wait to dine here again!
