Old Gold has such a wide variety of costumes to vintage and even new items that are hard to find anywhere else let alone in town. I will gladly give my money to a local business with a staff of wonderful women who will work hand in hand with someone to find something just right than risk buying online for something that won’t fit or arrive to late. Found some Halloween items here last week. Pretty great, old store that I'm glad is still around. However, I'm so disappointed to find that the items I got and thought were pretty special are on Amazon for less than 1/2 the price I paid for them in the store. Feeling ripped off... :(
I like that Old Gold is a survivor. In the swirl that is the upscaling of Burlington, Old Gold maintains its excellent service, high quality threads, and keeps its charm and character in the increasingly boring retail experience of downtown Burlington which has become sanitized by too many national chain stores. Old Gold keeps Burlington looking sharp, gives it a little panache. And they have fun doing it.
