Not at all advised My daughter has started using their service for her dog, Benji, They have taken a copy of all previous medical records including rabies vaccination. The rabies vaccination is due for renewal July 2018. My daughter took her dog today and for unknown reason they gave the dog another rabies vaccine and charged her $56 for it! They also suggested to neutering the god for over $900!!! Not to mention that they probably not competent enough as they failed to treat simple allergy for more than two month!! This bus... read more

0 I was a client there for 20 years and will never go back again......it's a beautiful facility with some good staff and vets but I would never trust ODAH with a dog again. My old dog died at home and I took his body there for an individual cremation with the ashes returned. They "made a mistake" and he was dumped in a mass grave in Pennsylvania. If you love your pet don't trust this place..

I love it!! I have been coming to Old Dominion Animal Health Center for a while now and I will never leave! One of my cats is very old and has diabeties. I was so nervious about giving my baby a shot every day! They showed me how do every thing. I even came in the first couple of times to make sure I was doing every thing correct. If I ever yhave any questions a Doctor calls me and answers every question that I have, even the ones that I feel kinda crazy asking. I reccomend Old Dominion Animal Health Center to every one who ... read more

wonderful doctors that care for owners and pets!! After the passing if one of our dogs, our other dog, a 7 year old min pin, was lethargic and not eating. I took him to ODAHC and Dr. Felton discovered that he has a heart murmur. He explained what that means in a way I could understand, and even showed me pictures from the ultrasound. He told me what to look for regarding symptoms of worsening. Most importantly, to me, they didn't dismiss my concerns even when I thought I was being crazy and he was probably fine just depresse... read more

My pet died After a 10 day stay in their hospital boarding my cat died 24 hours after picking her up. While she had intestinal cancer she was in good condition when I dropped her off 10 days earlier. Apparently she had stopped eating after several days. They called me to get permission to give her a shot for some blood found in her urine but when I asked how she was doing otherwise they told me she was doing great. Had they told me that she was not eating and "taking a turn for the worse" (what the doctor quoted me upon pick... read more

Board at your pet's risk. I have boarded my two labs at this facility several times (stupidly giving them the benefit of the doubt) and more often than not, my dogs came out with some sort of disease. My male lab developed kennel cough from his stay as well as a "hot spot" on his right cheek. My other dog had a bacterial infection on the skin of her belly. Not worth the price considering the extra vet costs I had to pay to treat my dogs.

Do Not Leave Your Pet with Them! I would not recommend this facility to anyone. I took my dog for grooming, and the groomers completely shaved her without my permission. My dog had severe razor burns and several cuts that they did not offer to treat. Management was very rude to me and did not offer to compensate or have a vet examine my dog.

a great place We have brought our 2 dogs to the vets here for many years. Although it is pricey, they provide very personal care for the animals. When my dog was taken into the back room for a shot, I peeked into the back by moving the curtain only to see a young assistant sitting with my dog in her lap as she petted him. That is the kind of care you are paying for.

Reliable service If we did not live so far away, we would regularly kennel our dog here for any trip; this is the place we use during our longer trips because we know she is in good hands with attentive staff, the facility is clean, and they are affiliated with a vetrinary clinic in case anything should happen. Our dog seems happiest when she comes back from visits to this kennel. Our one complaint would be that they have a limited amount of outside space for the dogs to go out in, but that seems to be the norm for kennels c... read more
