I recommend the Mother’s Milk cocktail ($13), Clamdestine absinthe and Pernod absinthe (~$20-22), unless you don’t like anise/black licorice flavor, in which case just skip absinthe.

Great drinks and atmosphere - friendly and helpful bar tenders! Absinthe is a misunderstood and under appreciated beverage. These folks will get you what you need!

absolutely poor service, and a disgusting waste of $13 on a disgusting vodka drink, might as well have puked in a cup and served it, the bartender didn't seem to notice or care as we waited patiently for her to get act together...

This is the quintessential place to drink absinthe in New Orleans. A must stop on your visit. It’s been around since 1807, need I say more?!
