Was told that I would receive academic scholarships before enrolling for the Fall. After 3 weeks of not receiving any scholarships in my bursar account, I reached out to check on the status, only to be told that I would not receive anything because I was considered a re-admit instead of a transfer... even though I previously attended over 10 years ago and had already received an associate's degree from another institution. Got to be the least helpful and un empathetic people at the university
I have needed the help of the people working in the financial aid department a lot over the last few years. Each time, I feel better after having talked to someone there. I am continually amazed by the kindness, patience, and compassion that comes out as simply part of their professionalism. And, that unique professionalism comes out consistently -- no matter how busy the time period, no matter the particular person with whom I'm talking, and no matter the topic.
