Dr. Dean Atkinson & his nurse are FANTASTIC. So kind. Their bedside manner is exceptional & you can tell they care about what they do.
Frustratingly Long Wait Times – Not Worth It I had an appointment scheduled at this clinic, but ended up waiting over an hour past my appointment time . What’s the point of making an appointment if you’re going to be treated like a walk-in? The waiting area was empty and nobody was there , and it seemed like they were overbooking patients just to squeeze in more business. I waited over 8 months for this appointment and left incredibly disappointed. The nurse was great—clear, patient, and professional. But the interaction with the doctor really missed the mark. He asked what my A1C was, which is a normal question to get from any provided. It gives them some helpful insight. I shared it was 6% and opened up about my journey, how I was in denial for years after being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as a child, and how in my early twenties I finally took control. Every time I go in for my weekly injection, I get the impression the four individuals giving injections would rather be doing something else and that I am just an interruption of their day.
