Great Food every time – This is by far the best Japanese restaurant anywhere around the Providence area. However, I don't eat Sushi so I can not judge this particular aspect. But EVERYTHING from soup, salad, main dish is WONDERFUL
One of my favorite – Love Oki's Steakhouse, we always have a fun time when we go there. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Even my picky 6 year old will eat the veggies here.
Will never go back – We had reservations at 7:30 for a birthday dinner. We were not seated until 9. The prices were pretty high. After we received the bill of $300 they brought out a tiny piece of cake with a candle on it. The waitress then took our bill and added an extra 9.50 for that cake. I spoke with a manager because we were not told they would charge for this, we didnt ask for it. The manager would not remove that from the bill.
Good Sushi – The new $5 appetizer menu is fantastic, it has a wide variety of foods to choose from and the sushi is fantastic. The hibachi is highly overrated and over priced, I won't do that again, we spent way too much money and were disappointed. Overall, the restaurant needs a thorough cleaning as it looks quite worn out and needs new decor. If you sit at the tables near the bar,be prepared for a lot of noise as the TV is always on sports and the guys who hang out at the bar and usually pretty raw and loud. So beware of ... read more
Absolutley amazing – I go to okis on mondays an tuesdays for the 5dollar menu. The eel and avacado tempura roll for five dolars is awesome. Sit at sushi and you can be full for 15 dollars.
Go to SHOGUN... – My boyfriend and I decided we would try OKI's for the first time on valentines day. Yes the building was a little wierd but that was ok. It was when we waited forever our sushi that we started getting restless.. then we had to ask 3x for glasses to go with our saki.... then when our chef arrived to cook our food and our sushi still hadn't come the waitress arrived to tell us it would be coming soon. DIRTY, scuzzy – Went there for a dinner with an out of town client becasue I heard it was good and while the food was good enough the place is DIRTY! The carpets are gross and the place needs a hose-down or something! It looks like it hasn't been renovated (ore really cleaned) since the 80's. It is wierd that it is in a strip mall... go someplace else for hibachi!
GOOD FOOD FOR RI – I have to disagreed with comment people on last post. I had dinner last sat. the food is really good i have to say....and they didnt trick you with fried rice. white rice come with it and if you want fried rice you could order if u like...such a good exsperience to me and family...defenitely come again.... OKIS the Best......
Oki's not as good as it once was – The one good thing to say about Oki's is the food is good, still. But, for the money you pay, which is what you pay in 5 star restaurants ($25 a plate, come on) you should get a clean atmosphere and clean bathroom. When I first dined at Oki's 15 years ago, it was impressive. Now, the cooks cannot perfom the food tossing tricks well anymore, and the bathroom is dirty with overflowing wastebaskets and water all over the sink. It even smells.
