Dr. Scheepers is amazing . I had the good fortune of having him as my Ophthalmologist when I was living in the West Kootenay's. He completed Cataract surgery and multifocal IOL Implants .He is a very caring ,reassuring and competent Surgeon, taking the time to explain all conditions of your eyes.Having relocated to Oliver I was pleased to see that he had relocated to Kelowna . The Doctor might be good but his receptionists are terrible , 3 weeks of phoning and they never answered the phone once, it's as if not even the Doctor cares.
I was referred by my optometrist in Penticton for private cataract surgery with Dr. Keith Yap at Okanagan Eye MD/Restore Surgical Centre. My first assessment was January 14, 2026, in Kelowna, and despite paying privately, there was a significant wait. Dr. Yap confirmed I would need cataract surgery in both eyes.
