Was told to pay $65 to get my gas turned back on and said it would be turned on within a few hours then after the phone call they called back and said they need ANOTHER $160 in order for my gas to be turned on. Then I was on the phone for 20 mins waiting for a manager who hung up on me as soon as she answered and when called back apparently she was in a meeting and had been for over an hour. Extremely unprofessional doesn’t know how to do their job and giving wrong information to CUSTOMERS
I moved into a house in FWB in May of 2021. We made an apt with okaloosa gas to get the gas turned on when we arrived. It was a two week wait for the rep to show up. Okay fine. The apt came and the individual, Eddie, said this was an inspection apt not an apt to get gas to the house. In fact, the gas line had been capped and we needed to reinstall a line as the original was no longer grandfathered into the new codes. Okay fine. Very fair price and my hot water were not easy to get to. Everyone from the person that took my call to the guy that gave me my estimate to the workers that did the installation were kind and very professional. So glad I used them to replace my water heater.
The customer service is deplorable. They have repeatedly abused their positions at the cost of the customer and manipulated the system to prevent due services from being rendered. The monopoly that Okaloosa Gas has on the gas services in Okaloosa county is an outrage and a privilege they do not deserve.
Best kept secret! I shopped around for a gas water heater quotes. Last quote was with Okaloosa Gas. Half the price to install a new water heater than the other three quotes. Service was great starting with Mr. Richard who quoted the price and set the schedule. He explained all the options to include the fixed price no matter what was required for the install.
