My provider used an AI transcriber which recorded our conversation and some idle chitchat about my broken foot during my breast exam. The hospital then BILLED ME EXTRA saying I “consulted with her about my broken foot”. I have spoken to over 5 different billing functions and cannot get the charges reversed. DO NOT LET THEM USE THE AI TRANSCRIBER! They will record everything and then go through with a fine toothed comb to erroneously charge you extra!
They were a great Dept. Try to remember that everything is messed up right now; you can figure that out, I am sure. They have no super need to go screw anyone. Just think of the increase of bills that aren't able to be paid in full, all that takes a lot of extra time, including call backs. All of this with a big decrease in staffing. This is our teaching hospital, try private care, and you maybe a tiny bit happier. I KEEP GETTING CALLS TO PAY MY BILLS, SO I GET MY CARD OUT, AND TALK TO SOMEONE THEN THEY SAY THEY WILL TRANSFER ME TO THE PAYMENT CENTER. THEN AN AUTOMATED VOICE SAYS "WE ARE UNAVAILABLE DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES" THEN HANGS UP. AND I HAVE NO WAY TO CONTACT TO TALK TO A LIVE AGENT. I HAVE SPENT HOURS ON HOLD TRYING TO PAY MY BILL. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. DO YOU WANT MY MONEY OR NOT??? I SWEAR IF YOU GUYS TRY TO TURN ME INTO COLLECTIONS I WILL SUE.
I just requested help getting records to a new specialist, and the medical records person was incredibly kind and helpful. They solved my issue in just a minute. Very impressive!
These people are inept and extremely rude and disrespectful...they constantly harass my parents for bills that have actually already been payed in full. There is never an apology or even a please and thank you...I guess that's America for you though. Nonetheless, this is unacceptable and disgraceful.
