The place is beautiful but I would agree that it's not well thought out for someone with a more severe disability and you definitely need some support or someone with you otherwise. I'm disappointed by how I was treated by the young exercise physiologist who judged and joked about my age/looks when I toured the place several months back. Not only did I think it was unprofessional but my brother has just had a stroke a few months prior and it seemed very insensitive. Everyone is so nice and encouraging.
I'm a newbie here, recently diagnosed with MS., and recently graduated from neuro rehab. This entire experience with OhioHealth, from diagnosis to where I am today, has been absolutely amazing. I feel SO supported by everyone here, from direct care staff, and admin staff, to other patients and their carers as well. I feel like everyone along the way has both held my hand when I've needed it, and pushed me when I've needed it. These folks demonstrate so much caring. They're doing it right.
