ORD is a beast but very easy to navigate. They also have very clean bathrooms.
Fly international from a different airport. Ugh SO fubar
If you want to be a douche, jump up as soon as the plane is at the gate and hightail it to the front so you can be first.
I'm the girl that misses my flight at my gate because I fall asleep listening to music on my headphones...and embarrassingly more than once...don't be me!

The Rick Bayless restaurants at Ohare are great, but think twice about Mexican food before a long flight.
Go early to eat at Frontera (T1B, T3). Best airport food anywhere.
