I'm a self taught surfer. But while in Hawaii I checked out this place. The instructor was very helpful and critique my approach. Instead of catching 3 out of 10 waves. Now I can catch 6 out of 10. One day I'll no longer be a kook! FUN TIMES!!
Great place for beginners to learn surfing. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend Chelsea and Gunner, they helped us first time surfers navigate through our first surf lesson. They were very knowledgeable and made sure everyone has a lot of fun. Would highly recommend others to check out Ohana surf project during your stay in Waikiki.
My husband and I recently took a surf lesson when we were visiting Oahu in September. We knew that while on vacation in Hawaii, a surf lesson was a must do activity. We were so glad to have signed up with Ohana Surf Project. Mark was our main instructor but Kevin and Luke were also present, taking photos. I cannot say enough about how great this group was. I given so much help. They will work with anyone and make you feel better than you would imagine. I have never surfed, overweight, old and stiff. There had me surfing. Even if I only get a seconds it was a miracle. I had all expectations it would never happen. They wouldn’t let me give up on myself. And they did it compassionately. I recommend them 100%. Great job!
Shout out to Taylor and Jaydon, they are super patient and helpful. My first time surfing instructor was not very patient so I was a bit afraid when I decided to do another lesson with my husband after few years. They helped me rebuild my confidence and I cannot wait to have another surfing lesson XD
