We made reservations for a one-on-one surf lesson for our daughter, Sovay, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Sophie picked us up from our hotel right on time and greeted us with a warm, friendly smile. When we arrived at the shop, Celeste and Jake were absolutely amazing. We signed our two boys (9 and 7) up for surf lessons with Pete and Luke, and the whole morning was perfect. Both instructors were patient, encouraging, and seriously focused on safety, which immediately put us at ease, and on top of that they were a ton of fun. Our kids adored them. The part that amazed us was how quickly the boys were actually standing up and surfing. When the locals bring their guests- yep this company is legit! Ohana Surf Project is the best! The staff is very friendly, professional and worked with us for a last minute reschedule. It was both of my daughter’s first time surfing and they had a blast! The instructors were great and they spent most of the time in the water catching waves! What a great experience our family had with Ohana Surf Project. We booked the 2hr family lesson. The kids were 10 and 12. Our kids are confident swimmers and this session fit us perfectly. We also picked up the picture package and it was soooooo worth it. The staff were amazing right from the start and the 4 of us all had an amazing session. Absolutely fantastic surf lesson experience with Luke and Marco. Strongly recommend the family lesson options to pair your family members more closely with instructors than the group class. Both Luke and Marco gave customized instructions to help each of us get more comfortable and adaptable with each run.
