My son bought his first car from the used car lot, under protest from me. Something didn't sound right. 2013 Honda 4.2 with over 100k for over 10k. Well he bought it anyway. My complaint is the salesman sold him a really bad deal. The negative equity in this vehicle is like 8k over. Then out the gate he had problems with burning oil, nonfunctional BT and a bad battery, which probably just passed inspection. I've had excellent service experiences with dealerships in Ohio and Michigan. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here over the past two years. A few of the service advisors have lacked professionalism and clear communication. The biggest issue is the process. Other dealerships I've worked with, including Subaru, provide detailed recommendations electronically, allowing customers to review, approve, or decline services with everything documented. This used to be Odenell Honda and I had very good experience. Even though it was far from my home, I used to take my car there. However, that is not the same now. This morning I went for regular service. As soon as I left the dealership, the bottom cover came off. Talked to service manager and they are not taking responsibility saying that it was damage before. Don’t recommend! Transmission went up on my 2019 Honda HRV three weeks past the extended warranty. Honda corporate asked them to waive diagnostic fee (as the car had already been diagnosed elsewhere but needed dealership diagnosis for goodwill assistance I was seeking) but they refused. They wouldn’t help with my goodwill assistance case. Also didn’t even provide me with a full diagnostic report just a receipt that said check engine. Definitely avoid Honda!
