This downtown restaurant serves French brasserie style food in an upscale cafeteria setting. The Odeon was the center of all that was cool in New York City during the high-rolling 1980s. Although its glory days are long gone, it remains a stylish bar and restaurant patronized by the now aging, upscale hipsters who live in and around its Tribeca neighborhood. Unfortunately, the staff remains just as pretentious as ever.

Delicious fresh food, sparkling discreet service, but a Root Beer Float for a brunch finish sent me to heaven.
Hip for over 40 years it is simply the best restaurant in Tribeca. Croque Monsieur with Mornay sauce, Creme Brulee, two Ginger Ales served in a glass and a double espresso. Impeccable service (kind but not showy) The check? $57!
