The meal we ate hour here on our one visit was mystifying average to poor. We ordered wings that were soggy -- as if something went wrong with them during preparation. We also ordered grilled avocado that was bland to the point of being flavorless. They have a chic vibe, which I think attracts a lot of people. We are going to try it one more time to see if they can do better -- which won't be hard. All in all, the food at this place did not come close to living up to the hype.
Good service and reasonable drinks. Unfortunately, subpar food. Burger was dry and fries were over salted. Rib sampler was dry and needed relied heavily on the sauce. Same goes for the meatballs. Pasta was uninspired and relied heavy on the spice which was one dimensional. A no for me.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank Steve and the amazing staff again for our wedding on Saturday evening. The day went beyond what we could have imagined and exceeded all expectations! Everyone said such great things all through the night and afterwards. So many people told us they are excited to go back for dinner and try it out again- and it will definitely be our anniversary spot moving forward. We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner for around 40 people at Ocotillo, and the events team executed everything seamlessly. The ambiance was perfect, the food was delicious, and Steve was incredibly responsive and easy to work with throughout the planning process. The pricing was very fair and offered excellent value for the quality of the experience. Thank you to everyone at Ocotillo for helping make our wedding weekend truly amazing!
