By default I became the lead onsite person for the Naval Cadets Association's building of four Kernic Class boats that the Association gifted to the Western Australian country Navy Cadet Units. Our group had no experience in building wooden boats. Tony O'Connor provided a first class service in guiding us through the task, putting much of his own time in assisting with the builds.
