The employees were really very attentive. It is just that I was very miserable and embarrassed having to sit in a waiting room with others having to see me squirming and getting up every 5 minutes to go use the restroom. Also having chronic hiccups, people were looking at me like I was crazy. Maybe I should have been keep in a room, where no one could watch or see what I was going through.
I'd like to thank Ochsner Transplant Team In The Liver at the liver center without the help of these skilled Doctors And Nures I would not be writing this today . These are angels but don't get me wrong tomorrow is not a giver but this team will make you feel like there's always a chance with the help of God almighty and the hard choices that the family's and matching donors make so I have a chance to be here today ! The challenge with Ochsner is you either get a excellent person or a less then desirable one. One of the medical professionals told my mother to hold her roll when she was trying to find out why my brother had been waiting almost two hours. On the other hand some go out of their way to help you in a trying situation. The hospital has places that are just plain dirty. What a nice experience. Everyone, from the janitors to the nurses to the doctors were pleasant and helpful. We were tol exactly what and when things were to be done. We also stated at the Brent House Hotel for 2 nights. That helped make the surgery that much easier. However; I would not stay at the Brent House except if I was using the hospital.
