First and foremost, this place is worth what you make it worth, even with what's available to one there. I personally was sent twice involuntarily from the Baylor Scott & White ER nearby, both on emergency detention orders, stemming from family matters and (what I believe to be a overdiagnosis this second time around [stayed inpatient from 7/2/26-7/14/26 w/ first instance last year July, around same time]) of bipolar and schizoaffective disorder leading to me being prescribed unnecessary medications. Turned out to be one of the best things to happen to me . Ruff at first but my out patient therapy was awesome
I have been admitted twice at oceans and I have nothing but good things to say about it, I was treated very well by nursing and staff, the group sessions are awesome the nursing an administration are well ran, they dint rush my care and I was put on meds that leveled me out perfectly, the dr’s checked in every day or so to make sure my care plan was working. I definitely would and have recommended Oceans Behavioral Hospital of Waco
Horrible experience for my boyfriend. He came back like a zombie.
