I stayed here for one night and had a pretty mixed experience. The biggest issue was the noise—my upstairs neighbor was blasting house music, and I could hear everything. It drove me nuts. I let management know, but I’m not sure if they actually addressed it. The music stopped for a while, then came back later. The room had an awkwardly placed overhead light that I hit my head on ten times—not exaggerating. We had a great stay at this property. We really enjoyed the serenity of this hotel.
As a frequent visitor to Venice and Santa Monica, I highly recommend the Oceana. This is a wonderful experience. We’ve stayed at most Ocean Ave properties and recently have opted to rent a house when visiting. Sorry houses, but Oceana has you beat. Perhaps the one attribute more positive than the Oceana’s location and room size is the Oceana staff. They are focused on client (as opposed to customer) service. The service is great. Arrived at the hotel for a short stay checking out tomorrow. This hotel has exceeded my expectations thus far. The rooms are amazing, the hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect for my family, and everyone on the staff has been extremely courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be back - Shantan
First I want to say this is a beautiful hotel. They are still doing some work on upgrading it but it is very nice. The people who work there are also very nice and do a great job at making you feel welcome. I only gave 3 stars because unfortunately this hotels website uses deceptive imagery and descriptions for their rooms. I chose this hotel and room for my anniversary trip, I spent quite a bit on it for the weekend.
