Super fun day out snorkelling on the great barrier reef. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was incredible!!!!
Started off disappointing. Expecting to sail as that’s what all the photos showed, but the mainsail was waiting to be fitted and the Genoa was unserviceable. We weren’t told if this when we enquired and wouldn’t have booked if I had known. However, it ended up being a great day despite not sailing. The crew were awesome and so enthusiastic. Lucked out with a beautiful day with no rain. Took the guided tour , was pulled by a lovely crew member. Shout out to neve the marine biologist on the tour the I could barely hear above the wind and waves. Saw so many amazing fish and a turtle. Much better than the Great Adventures green island+pontoon tour.
I absolutely loved the trip I did on Sunday with Ocean Spirit! The weather couldn’t have been better, and I experienced the best snorkelling so far at the Great Barrier Reef. It was my sixth time at the Reef, and I was genuinely surprised by how well preserved Michaelmas Cay is. The coral colours, the variety of fish, and even their size were incredible. Our trip with Ocean Spirit Cruises to Michaelmas Cay was absolutely outstanding. From the friendly, knowledgeable crew to the smooth, scenic sail from Cairns, everything was perfectly organised and relaxed. Michaelmas Cay itself is breathtaking — powder-white sand surrounded by crystal-clear water and vibrant reef. The snorkelling was incredible, with colourful coral and abundant fish.
