Yes, Ocean reef is a private club. And the boats here are fantastic for zipping around the waters around key largo. If you find yourself in need of a boat to get out and snorkel or fish, ocean reef brittle boats is five stars.
I can’t give zero stars or I would give it. But I feel the need to post a warning. Ocean Reef is apparently a private club and James Silva does not have any authority to get you into the club, so unless you are a club guest you CANNOT rent a boat. We were expecting a day in Biscayne and got a measles apology instead after being shaken down by club security.
