We stayed at Ocean Gate Inn in June for my daughter's graduation. We understand supply and demand drives rates up during busy times, but the price was very high for what we got. Unfortunately, the room didn't match the cost. The floor looked dirty and there was an unpleasant smell when we walked in. After we checked in and stayed our first night, the room wasn't cleaned, the bed wasn't made, and the towels weren't replaced during our stay. I recently stayed at the Ocean Gate Inn in Santa Cruz and had a wonderful experience. The owners were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Their hospitality made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The room was very clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious. I especially loved the private balcony, which offered beautiful ocean views and was the perfect place to relax in the morning and watch the sunset in the evening. Highly recommended. To all my google travels. If you are looking for the best rates in Santa Cruz please come and check out this gem. Walking distance to everything except the college but that’s what the bus is for in this lovely town. Rates that will leave you more money to play. Give this place a shot. I wish I could add a 6th star for survice here because the staff are second to none in this town and I stay in Santa Cruz a lot. Tell him Mike sent you.
Recently stayed over the weekend with my husband on June 6, staff is very friendly and welcoming, rooms were well kept and clean, perfect walking distance from the beach and board walk, over all no complaints we loved it and recommend.
