Winona Tan placed an IUD for me at age 15 with no offer of pain management. It was a highly traumatic experience, and I am 23 now and still wish often to have some form of recourse. To give a child 1. No opportunity for informed consent because I was not told that the procedure would hurt to the point of me passing out and 2. No offer of pain management other than “take 2 Advil” is horrific. I am now heading into my own medical career and have never, and will never treat patients like this.
I called to make an appointment and the admin on the call just pushed me back rudely with all means that we cannot make appointment for new patients just for the one plan for pregnancy. Even after I convinced her that is the reason I called she turned it back that we don’t cover any consultation m/check ups visits ! and only if you are pregnant visit here! While the team is friendly and nice, the quality of healthcare they provide is low bordering on negligence and malpractice. Despite its strong reputation and affiliation with Stanford hospital, I would strongly recommend to go elsewhere
