I am currently Dr Shuster’s patient, being treated for uro/Gyn issues . I am very thankful for his expertise, knowledge & skills as a surgeon & Doctor . North Alabama is very fortunate to have Dr Shuster & his nurse Sarah , who are not only extremely qualified, but are dedicated to the care , healing & management of my medical needs . I love dr. Schuster! I've had what i assumed were uti's back to back to back for a long while but he figured out I had interstitle cystitis and after my 1st out of 3 bladder installation treatments, I already feel so much better and haven't had any problems! He's a miracle worker! And his staff nurses etc are AMAZING!!! love everyone here! They saved me!! And all of them are VERY professional. 10/10 I will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Believe all reviews, including Advocates, don’t help the patient. He's very charming first visit. He really needs to retire. He wrote very demeaning comments in my chart to paint a nasty picture that are 100% untrue. In pre-op, he said if I have complications, call him. I see why hospital colleagues said no, go to the ER. If you know about this man why not turn him in. He's causing PTSD in women. Surgery in 2023.
I let this go FAR too long. I need to speak up. 6-7 years ago (2016/2017) Dr. Schuster performed surgery on me. Many many issues. 1st- I He talked me into an unnecessary surgery. I regret that choice every day since then. 2. Every time he examined me he inappropriately stroked his hand down my thigh. Don’t need fireplace for a gynecologist exam! Best surgeon, hands down, but if you’re looking for sincere aftercare, you’ll be sadly letdown. He hung up on me at the 3.5 week mark assuming I was asking for narcotics (I have an arsenal of those, so no thank you I didn’t need your rx). This sent me to have the most horrific er experience Ive ever had, and at my 6 week checkup with him, he accused ME of hanging up on him, and I know when a landline slams down on a receiver.
