They treat you terrible here & don’t care about you or wasting your time!!! They wasted my time & still denied me prenatal care without remorse. Back in June I called to schedule a pregnancy appointment & denied me until my insurance changed. It took 40 days to change it. I called back early August to schedule that appointment for prenatal care, they scheduled me until sept 17th. They put my child’s life at jeopardy by releasing us to go home after I showed 2 tell tale signs of being in the early stage of labor. I reminded the staff and resident physician of my history and my unborn child’s history. Reminded them I was at risk of going into labor early. Long story short my water broke a few hours later at home, I was 33 weeks. Plenty of reason they should’ve monitored me, possibly even given me medicine to slow labor or steroids incase.. I had a very disappointing experience with UT Southwestern as a new expecting mother. I was made to wait four hours for an in-person appointment, which is completely unacceptable. Even during a virtual visit, the nurse practitioner was 15 minutes late. Their lack of respect for patients’ time is a recurring issue. If you have a 9 a.m. appointment, expect to be stuck there for half the day, often needing to take personal time off work.
