Don't bother I was traveling solo...took a good 25 minutes for someone to take my order. The food was terrible. I ordered a salad. How hard is it to mess that up? I wouldn't bother with this one.

Pathetic Must be the worst dining experience EVER.. #1 took over 10 minutes for a waitress to acknowledge we were sitting in the middle of her section. #2 salsa tasted like stewed tomatoes, and nothing more, salt not even a savior, which we had to request after waiting so long for our meal #3 ordered a breakfast burrito, raw egg whites and mushrooms in a burrito that didn't list them in the description. After sending my meal back and waiting for my ENTIRE table to finish their breakfast #4 received a burrito with a core of u... read more

Javalina Cantina in Hilside es mejor – Caters to unknowing tourists. Don't try it just because of its location in uptown. If you want mexican food that is more upscale, go to Javalina Cantina at the Hillside Shops along Hwy 179 or El Rincon inside Tlequapaue

Business response:

I am sorry to hear you're unhappy with Oaxaca. Can you please give me a bit more detail as to what you don't like so we can improve on it? We really do try to take customer response into consideration. Please email me directly at webmaster@oaxacarestaurant {dot} com. Thank you.

Skip this place – With so many great restaurants to choose from in Sedona, one has to wonder how this place stays in business. The only explanation is that they rely on their location and virtually 100% of their customers are tourists who don't know any better. I decided to give it a try when I first arrived in town and have never been back again. I'm normally a forgiving soul and willing to give second chances, but it really was that bad. I wish CitySearch had an option for no stars.

Yuck, go elsewhere – This is one place in Sedone where I will never eat again. The only thing it has going for it is the location in uptown. I was served a cold steak that was burned on the outside and raw on the inside. Everything was bland and way overpriced.

I wanted to treat a friend to Mexican food while in Sedona, I have never been to a Mexican Food Restaurante that did not serve complementary chips and salsa. Everyone else in the place seem to have chips but we didn't get any and when we ask the waiter said they are an appetizer., ok, so every one else had ordered the same appetizer? Then he didn't even ask if we wanted some. When he brought our food he spilled a dish of beans and didn't even apologize. The meal was way overpriced (which I expected for Sedona) but come on. Disappointed Uninterested wait staff. The food tasted like it came out of a can. Chips were chewy and they ran out of salsa. Way over priced food. Bar ran out of everything I asked for. But the view was nice!

There are WAY too many other fabulous restaurants in Sedona to waste time on this one. I am a local from Flagstaff and took a friend to Oaxaca as we were both craving Mexican food. The food was simply not good or up to par with what one would expect of a restaurant in Sedona right on the strip. I would have been happier with Del Taco and it would have cost a heck of a lot less. AND, chips and salsa are not included. You have to ask and there is a charge (they never offered). The Habanero salsa that was advertised as Wicked h... read more

The BEST Margaritas EVER – I got the best Margarita with a delicious healthy lunch and had a waitress who not only smiled, she told us where the best local hangouts are! TERRIFIC!
