Went yesterday afternoon to see if any doctor available. Lovely lady said they have no appointment til tomorrow. I used to go to Oasis Medical Centre on the Gold Coast all the time and it was great, but just a heads up—it’s shut down now and totally out of business. I tried to call them and email and just got dead air because the phone's been disconnected, and you can’t book an appointment anymore because there aren’t any docs around. I’ve seen people saying the same thing on reviews but for some reason, their Google listing is still up like they’re open. It’s super confusing. Went to get stitches out, was in there less than 15 minutes but they charged me for a 20 min visit, $150. Rang and the stup.. receptionist said the extra $55 was for bandaids. So angry, I rang but they brushed me off and never did anything about it.
the medical centre has gone insolvent, received a text advising the medical centre is open until 22/12/23 for people to have their patient files transferred to a new medical centre. Have called over a dozen times and it goes directly to voicemail saying the clinic is closed and sent emails with no response. How are patients supposed to have a continuity in care provided by a GP when you are ignoring emails, phone calls and online queries. Extremely unprofessional.
