The worst organization ever! They claim to be an emergency facility and they're not! Emergencies require people to be tending the animals 24/7 I took my dog in on a Sunday night, they insisted I give them 1275.00 just to get started, but closed at 12 a.m. The dog had ingested tom cat mouse poison and needed help immediately and not left alone through the night! Our sweet kitty got out of our house and the neighbors found her and took her to this vet. Not even four hours later we found out she's been euthanized. We got her 18 years ago and this is when micro-chipping wasn't a big thing. They illegally killed her due to the fact she looks "dehydrated" and she wasn't chipped. If you have a pet and need emergency or after-hours vet needs, DO Not, I repeat, DO NOT go to Oasis Animal Hospital/Emergency Center in Mauldin, SC. We had to take my daughter's dog there on Saturday morning to get some staples in her leg due to an unfortunate accident at home with some scissors.. First of all, I understand that the fee for after-hours/emergency visits will be more than a standard office hour visit. We took our chihuahua to the emergency vet that is affiliated with Oasis animal hospital on a Sunday night. She had surgery within an hour after we got there for a very serious medical condition. In the morning, the oasis vets took over her care and kept us informed about her condition and her progress. Our sweet Angel passed away from the complications of her illness, but the staff here was so professional and compassionate about our loss. We were given a diagnosis of a broken leg for our dog. After a week of carrying him to pee and everywhere, I noticed he was acting like it was ok. Took him to the vet to get the splint reapplied as advised by Oasis vet, confirmed that his leg was NEVER broken. Realizing everyone makes mistakes, we gave them a chance and asked for only $250 refund of an over $700 bill. They refused! I've been taking my cats here for years but not long ago I learned the old owner left. Now anytime I go its one "new exam" fee after. Their record keeping is ridiculous, they tried to tell me my cat hadn't been there in a year despite me having their printed receipt from 4 months ago. Wouldn't recommend unless your looking for a place that doesn't care about much but getting you for every dollar they can

Please explain to me how this "Veterinary" practice (and I use that term loosely) can diagnose an 8 month old puppy with whipworms, give him extremely strong deworming medicine, charge almost $500 and send him home with no follow up. Only for the poor baby to have to go to another Vet's office 2 days later to determine that he has a large object lodged in his throat, almost filling his entire chest cavity!
