Our sweet kitty got out of our house and the neighbors found her and took her to this vet. Not even four hours later we found out she's been euthanized. We got her 18 years ago and this is when micro-chipping wasn't a big thing. They illegally killed her due to the fact she looks "dehydrated" and she wasn't chipped. If you have a pet and need emergency or after-hours vet needs, DO Not, I repeat, DO NOT go to Oasis Animal Hospital/Emergency Center in Mauldin, SC. We had to take my daughter's dog there on Saturday morning to get some staples in her leg due to an unfortunate accident at home with some scissors.. First of all, I understand that the fee for after-hours/emergency visits will be more than a standard office hour visit. We were given a diagnosis of a broken leg for our dog. After a week of carrying him to pee and everywhere, I noticed he was acting like it was ok. Took him to the vet to get the splint reapplied as advised by Oasis vet, confirmed that his leg was NEVER broken. Realizing everyone makes mistakes, we gave them a chance and asked for only $250 refund of an over $700 bill. They refused! Horrible customer service by receptionist. Loved this place when owned by Dr. Brandt. Has since been sold and run by inexperienced staff. Lack of experience and arrogant attitude has caused me to switch to Integrity after going to Oasis for years. Have heard complaint about over medicating animals. I myself was told my dog needed a heartworm test after faithfully being on heartworm medication since I got her. Do not recommend.
