They bought our retirement park one year ago and have already raised our rent twice. This is supposed to be a senior living government assisted ********** community. The folks that live in here cannot afford the rent hikes that they continue to do. Promises of improvements were made and they have not followed through. This is a horrible company

I think ************************* are one of the safest.cleanest and quiet places I've lived. The management,(****, *****, ******) have worked very hard to improve these apartments for all of us. I love it here Going on 5 years and it just gets better. Thank you all

They don't fix anything. I have lived here 4 and a half yrs. and the kitchen sink is falling apart and the counter tops are falling off. The carpet on my stairs is so disgusting and they won't even take it up for me. They are very rude and disrespectful to me when I call about a maintenance issue and the maintenance people never answer the phone. It's not a nice place to live.

I would give them a star, it makes me put a star to write the review. This business shouldn't even be able to rent to anyone because most of their houses and/or apartments should even pass code to 90% of them of having electrical and plumbing problems.

This place does not even deserve a half a star. Misty is a sorry excuse for a landlord with her very trashy mouth and very scandolous she lies to her tentents and her maintaince guys the indian and the white guy stole my things from under the stairs when i was moving out I actually have it on video!!! If you call on a apt and they say there from oakwood or the landlord name is misti RUN PEOPLE !!! These people are horrible horrible people!!! You be better off living in a tent. Dont rent from these people, poor customer service on the highest level.. the manager last month told me the price I owed for *** fine, I explain her why we was late an she just said yea yea thats fine trying to rush me off the phone. now they moved up the front desk lady to manager status an trying to cover up the old manager mistake n trying to charge me extra money for rent an they and I have receipts.. she was very rude. They don't even deserve a 1 star.. Mr. ******** is a horrible owner over this management. Mr. ******** rented me house that was still filthy and filled with a lot of bugs. He's very rude after he gives you the key his whole attitude changes. It's a whole lot more I would like to say but stay away do your research first. don't let the specials he have to lure you in fool you. check out other properties he own they're all ran down. Hello, so now that the dishwasher is out, I have a question/complaint. The water and trash that was left on the floor in my kitchen, were they just supposed to leave w/o cleaning it or what?! I was so frustrated with the mess on the floor that I cleaned it up while they went to search for the wood to cover the hole where the dishwasher was.

Oakwood property is not a good company to lease a property through. They claim they send you five day notices out in the mail,but that is not true. The staff is rude and they will keep you on hold or hang up in your face because they don't want to deal with people. That's like they close at 3 pm so when you get home and have a notice on your door you can't call and see what is going on until the next day. I absolutely do not recommend this company to anyone.
