Nice neighborhood, and friendly neighbors. Management is awesome , but the apartment building itself has a huge roach infestation. I lived there and I did treatment on my own for it and they would also treat the property but the roaches were everywhere. Little baby ones all over the place even in my fridge despite me cleaning more frequently. I would keep little to no food because of it and didn’t stay long. In my time at Oakwood I dealt with roaches, rats, and rude management. The location is great and the neighbors are nice, and they responded to maintenance requests rather quickly. However, the building itself is pretty shabby and some units have all sorts of gaps and poorly constructed areas especially in the kitchens. I don’t think they have any business raising rent until they can get each unit renovated and get the bug problem handled for good.
