The new young lady in the lobby is a nice person. If the other front desk staff were like her, perhaps not so many residents would move out. The steam room frequently shuts down because it overheats, as some residents are unaware of the rules. I complained about the noise several times, but the front desk never actually intervened.
The amenities and units are okay, but the staff make the experience great! Specifically Towanda. Whoever made the review of her being racist might be racist. She is the sweetest person and actually cares about the residents! I see her talk to everyone and they love her back. The apartments are dog friendly, just wish the units were a little bigger and more updated and better opportunity for parking.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. My experience with Apartment Lake and Well was extremely frustrating. I paid a $450 admission fee, and after my application situation changed, they refused to refund my money despite my attempts to resolve the issue. Getting a straight answer and having the situation addressed has been incredibly difficult. Do NOT live at Lake & Wells. The elevators are constantly down (I have been waiting at a minimum 10 minutes a day for an elevator). The main door that secures the apartments is broken and has been for weeks. A homeless man walked onto our floor and the security person was nowhere to be found. My renewal was crazy high. The parking garage is dirty and unprotected (constant break ins). The amenities are dirty and barely work. They kick you out of the gym at 10 which is insane.
