I went in for a blood transfusion. The first nurse I had was ok, but the incoming nurse was not only not attentive for monitoring my vitals during the transfusion but, allowed me to work to the bathroom without assisting. Also, at the time of release, he left the EKG monitors attached to my skin without removing them. Maybe this hospital's ER medical team are people that they hired to train. My son went to emergency on a Thursday afternoon recieved a MRI and was told.he my have MS and was waiting for a lumbar puncture to confirm. Finally on Friday night he sees a neurologist Dr. Jolly, however they can't do the test until Monday because the ones who do the spinal don't work on the weekends. WHAT?!?! On Monday after the spinal he was released. He still had poor balance, slurred speech, and sluggish motor skills. staff was great... got me in, x-rays and very professional... this place has changed so much for the better... Give them a chance...
Starting with the doctors telling us after 8 hr surgery that they may have nicked my son's esophagus. Then telling us that it is extremely serious and that a team has been called in to test for a tear. Fast forward 3.5 hours and no word. We find our son in ICU the Dr went home without notifying us of anything. Now ICU nurse decides to stop his sedation because of a false reading on blood pressure and my son is now thrashing in pain land discomfort with chest tubes, ventilator etc...
