Thanking Dr. Sylvia Funes for being very kind, accommodating, a good listener & very understanding. Thanking the Staff as they are all helpful, friendly & nice . Dr. Funes took the time to tell the Staff to remind me if my dog needed a prescription, since she was going on vacation, so one of them sent me an email to remind me if there was anything that my dog needed to refill his prescriptions. I took my dog Benny into OakVet on a Wednesday afternoon after he climbed onto the counter and consumed 8 oz of rendered fat and was presenting with diarrhea and vomiting. It was my first time needing to take him into an emergency vet and we were both a little nervous. The staff was incredible - especially the vet tech Deena who took Benny’s vitals, his history and eventually administered his fluids. I was a very paranoid pet parent and extremely discerning about who we chose to work with our senior small dog. Our pomchi was very difficult to work with because she didn’t like being restrained or handled (esp. when she had arthritis) but the OakVet team was able to draw blood, trim her nails, and do everything she needed with a high level of care. We brought our dog to OakVet on a Friday, and although the wait time was quite long, our overall experience was very positive. The waiting area was spacious and comfortable, which made the wait much easier. What stood out the most was how much the team genuinely cares about their patients.
