2026 Visits: Dr. Silvia Funes (Internal Medicine) and her assistants were very helpful with my dog on two different issues recently. Dog ate a sock (the same one who got into the medication stash in 2025) so needed endoscopy to have it removed. Dog also had an ongoing condition that my general practice vet recommended I have looked into with Dr. Funes. I’ve been going here for years. OakVet has been my go-to emergency pet hospital for my older dog and cat due to their 24 hour facility.Ove the course of 5 years, we had 4 emergencies between the 2 that required late night or weekend urgent visits. Each time the staff there took great care of my babies. ⭐ 1 star — I wish I could give zero. I brought my cat here and waited two hours just to be told the recommended procedure was extremely expensive. After negotiating, they offered a minor procedure at a lower cost, but the medication was also very expensive. Then I waited another about 5 hours for a procedure that took only about 30 minutes. The whole experience felt more focused on money than compassion for the animal. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this hospital and will never return

Excellent care, clear communication, well organized. It is a 25 minute drive, and still I would come here over closer alternatives. Dr Funes and Dr Sawyer are wonderful.

Update: my vet told me they bloodwork i did was not fully complete. ————- I brought my 9 year old cat in for an emergency visit because she had a fever. The wait was only about 15 minutes, maybe Wednesdays are quieter Dr. Joshua was incredibly kind and took the time to walk me through the whole process: what to expect, how they'd investigate the cause, which concerns were most urgent versus minor, and what the costs might look like depending on whether they found an answer.
