Oaks continues to have issues with caregiver oversight. No one oversees shifts to make sure caregivers are responding to pendant calls, that caregivers are on their assigned floor actively taking care of the needs of the residents. Caregivers leave soiled linens and clothes in the room so the room smells of urine. My mother uses a Purwick system and caregivers throw away connecting parts continually. The employees at the OAKS AT HABERSHAM treats you like a family member. When my husband needed to be in an assisted living facility I looked at many facilities before selecting the OAKS AT HABERSHAM. My husband is extremely happy there & has made a lot of friends there & enjoys the various activities they have. It's extremely stressful to face life altering decisions like this. The OAKS AT HABERSHAM presented the services they offered & I chose to move my husband there & we haven't been disappointed.
The Oaks on Habersham is a very pretty place but no happy with the assistance my cousin is getting with ADL’s. It doesn’t appear she is getting help with bathing & oral care. Her toilet hasn’t been cleaned in quite a while and was nasty. She definitely pays for assistance and should be monitored and encouraged with her ADL’s. She has some dementia.
