I’ve lived at The Oaks for several years. Thus was once an enjoyable and stress-free place to live. Ever since the new management (Prime Residence Group) took over from PLK Communities, the quality of living has noticeably declined. There are ongoing issues with shared spaces being misused and not properly managed. Ever since Prime Residence Group has taken over this place from PLK, things have gone downhill and fast. They are forcing residents to pay for bulk Altafiber internet, increase in fees for water, heat, trash. Maintenance requests left for weeks with no updates. For example, I put in a request because some starlings damaged the roof above my bedroom to nest. As of this writing, it has been two weeks and I have heard nothing from management or maintenance. They advertise a 1br for $845, but the total price is actually $1140 because you pay for water, gas(?) wi-fi (?), trash removal, and pest control. 😆...the leasing office has a set price for utilities. There feels strangely scammish. Oh yeah, you have to pay duke for your electricity. Grown people can pay their own bills!! Found all this out thru a text from West Virginia. No thanks!!!
I am desperately in need to move. I am disabled in various ways. however, they want me to pay $80 for application. non refundable. I still want see other apt they have and they won't even tell me their name, or where office is,. I understand people are very hard to erk with however. just TALK to me like a person. I seriously need to move, low on$ but I NEED somewhere I feel safe. I'm on disability food stamp cut, waiting housing voucher 2 years. I need help.. not talk down to. o
