Do not trust Nest and anything they say. They are being sued by a bank and a subcontractor for not paying their bills. Like many other contractors, they take your money as quickly as possible and do not deliver. The worst part is that they take their money, go bankrupt, and just open up another business (in this case Nest-Coastal). My husband and I bought a home from Nest in Mooresville, North Carolina. RUN!!! We had nothing but headaches and unmet expectations from the start but now that that we have lived in our home - we have had to submit issues under warranty - and surprise surprise …. they won’t cover anything! Come to find out they own all the subcontractors companies affiliated with the home ( example : irrigation) and therefore are choosing to not honor any of the warranties. I’ve emailed Helmsman Homes (related to Nest homes) to get items fixed under our warranty and I am not getting any response or calls back. We have multiple defected/warped studs in our home. The project manager, Ralph had me convinced that the stud was not crooked and that it was a water line in the wall. I was standing there and watching as he and and a drywall repair person cut out the piece of drywall to show me the water line. He told me to “look back there and see it” but there was no water line.
